Registration for fall Pine River-Backus (PR-B) community education class offerings is available now in the community education office and online at prbschools.revtrack.net. Registration forms will also be available at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4 in the PR-B commons area.

Equipment check-out will be available at a later date. Coaching opportunities are available for elementary sports.

Co-ed flag football, grades 2-6: New program offered as a minimal-contact alternative to tackle football. Teams will be separated by grade level. Fee is $25.

Tackle football, grades 3-4 and 5-6: Practice will begin in late August or early September. Fee is $50, plus a $100 equipment deposit.

Volleyball, grades 3-4 and 5-6: Practice will begin in early September and games will begin in mid-September from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays in the PR-B gyms. Fee is $40.

Adult volleyball: Games will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sept. 10 through Dec. 17 in the PR-B Performance Gym. Fee is $25 for the season or $3 for drop-in. League coordinators are needed.

Basics of small engine repair/maintenance and blade sharpening: Learn how to maintain and repair chainsaws, snow blowers, lawn mowers, small tractors and more from instructor Ron Koering. Small engine fuel lines, lubricating, electrical, starting systems and blade sharpening as well as tune-ups and maintenance will be covered. Classes will be held 6-8 p.m., Aug. 19 and 21. Fee is $15.
