The Pequot Lakes High School speech team finished third out of 24 schools at the 2020 Little Falls Lucky Lindy Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Two Patriots claimed the top spot of category champion: Mollie Pierson in Oratory and Elena Grove in Poetry.

Discussion: Jakob Sundstrom, Honorable Mention, Drama: Ali Sommerness, fourth; Jin Dollete, Novice Award.

Duo: Alexa Fyle and Sophie Littman, third; Allison Francis and Dalton Ebnet, Honorable Mention.

Extemp Speaking: Mollie Pierson, third; Hailey Halverson, seventh.

Informative: Grace Bonfig, fourth.

Oratory: Naarah Neumann, seventh.

Poetry: Tabitha Kibwaa, second.

Prose: Annabelle Ristow, Honorable Mention; Naarah Neumann- Honorable Mention.

The team will travel to Duluth on Saturday, Feb. 1, to compete in the 59th annual Denfeld Rotary Speech Tournament.
