The Pine River Public Library is recruiting contestants for its second annual Cupcake Wars on Saturday, Aug. 2, at The Warehouse.
The library must receive entry forms by July 21.
Contestants may be individuals, teams of two or more or businesses. Pick up an entry form at the Pine River Library or print it from the library website.
All proceeds from the event will go to the library.
Contestants will be given a table to create their cupcake displays and will donate their cupcakes to the event. Minimum requirement is three dozen cupcakes.

Contestants must dress up as their favorite book character and bring the book for display. Cupcake decorations do not have to match the stories.
Judging by those who attend from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and buy tickets will be on appearance, taste and most sales. All cupcakes must be homemade. Contestants will earn points for the funds they raise in those categories.
There is no limit on how many times a person may vote.
