Pine River: Council OKs Sunday liquor sales at Ole and Lena's

The Pine River City Council held a special meeting Sept. 22 to discuss a request for Sunday liquor sales at Ole and Lena's Sweet Revenge.

The special meeting was held because no representative was present for the regular meeting Sept. 13 when the issue was on the agenda. Owners of the establishment needed the sales approved as soon as possible for Sunday NFL football games, so the council agreed to meet again Sept. 22.

No issues were found at the special meeting, and Sunday sales were unanimously approved.
