Pequot Lakes Schools will celebrate homecoming week Monday-Saturday, Sept. 19-24, with festivities culminating with homecoming coronation Friday night, Sept. 23, and the homecoming football game and dance Saturday, Sept. 24.
Instead of a parade this year, there will be a Color Run at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. This free 2-mile run/walk will go through town with checkpoints throughout the course where colors will be thrown at participants. Participants will be expected to bring their own white T-shirts.
This year's homecoming candidates are Jaeger Reed, Ethan Lehman, Jake Anderson, Andy Voges, Max Tangen, Molly Dotty, Taya Salminen, Emily Stevens, Quinn Kratochvil and Kyra Blaukat.

Monday, Sept. 19

Dress up day: Country vs. Country Club
3:30-7:30 p.m.: Hallway decorating. Judging will be Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Tuesday, Sept. 20
Dress up day: Safari vs. Tourist
Jam the Gym: Volleyball game at 7 p.m. against Sebeka.
Wednesday, Sept. 21
Dress up day: Dress Up vs. Dress Down
Bingo at the end of every class.

Thursday, Sept. 22
Dress up day: Superhero vs. Villain
Friday, Sept. 23
Dress up day: Spirit Day (Seniors vs. Sophomores and Juniors vs. Freshman)
2:20-3:15 p.m.: Pep Fest.
6 p.m.: Homecoming coronation followed by the reception in the commons.
7 p.m.: Powderbuff volleyball in the main gym.
8 p.m.: Powderpuff football on the varsity football field.

Saturday, Sept. 24
9 a.m.: Color Run.
11 a.m.: Tailgate begins with live music by the District, of Brainerd.
1:30 p.m.: Homecoming football game against Perham.
8-11 p.m.: Homecoming dance in the auxiliary gym at the high school with pizza and drinks provided.
