Pequot Lakes students had art selected to go to the National Joint Powers Alliance art contest in Staples, placing in many categories.

Following are students who had art chosen to go to the show and the awards they received:

• High School Painting: Lyndsey Johnson, first; Carlee Waschek, second; Taya Salminen, third;

and Kiley Anderson, Morena Hammer, Brittny Bzdok and Maggie Heggerston, Merit Awards.

• High School Photography: Graedon Rhor, first; and Kaisa Bernu and Gina Garai, Merit Awards.

• Middle School Print-Making: Kylee Jordan, third.

• Middle School Painting: Olivia Lane, second; Hannah Aydelotte, third; and Payton Schlosser, Merit Award.

• Elementary (fifth grade): Justine Vance, second; and Robbie Stephens, Merit Award.
