Mike Erholtz will chair the Pequot Lakes School Board in 2015, with Curt Johnson serving as vice chair and Susan Mathison-Young as clerk/treasurer.
All school board meetings and work sessions will start at 6 p.m. for the rest of the year, the school board decided Monday, Jan. 12. Until now, work sessions were at 6:30 p.m. and regular school board meetings at 7 p.m.
Board salaries remain at $250 per month per board member, and an additional $100 per day for full-day meetings. The chair will continue to earn an additional $100 per month, and the clerk/treasurer an additional $50 per month.
In other annual business, the board approved Lakes State Bank, Eagle Community Bank (for one scholarship) and PMA Financial Network as official depositories. The Pineandlakes Echo Journal remains the district's official newspaper.
The board honored senior Mariah Reed for attaining 100 career points in girls' hockey. Lindholm said Gov. Mark Dayton proclaimed the last week in January as Paraprofessionals Week.

In other action Monday, the board:
• Approved the retirement of seventh-grade science teacher JoAnn LaSart at the end of the school year, and the resignation of paraprofessional Darla Johnson effective Jan. 16.
• Hired Rhende Hagemeister as a long-term substitute for middle level special education from approximately Jan. 19-March 9 to cover Sherry Pape's leave, and Chad Hoefs as a cook's helper, a new position, as of Jan. 12.
• Adopted a policy on use of school district facilities and equipment, and repealed a policy regarding facilities use by non-school groups.
The board met a week earlier than usual because its regular meeting date - Jan. 19 - is a holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The board will also meet a week earlier than normal next month - Feb. 9 - because of the Presidents day holiday on Feb. 16.
