The Pequot Lakes High School robotics team won the Medtronic Foundation Regional in Minneapolis on Saturday, March 31, qualifying for the world championships in Detroit, Michigan, at the end of April.
The team was the second pick of the sixth-seeded alliance and went through the elimination rounds with a 6-0 record, Nate Novak, robotics lead mentor and Pequot Lakes High School S.T.E.M. teacher, said in an email.
Pequot Lakes was paired with Team 2052 Knightcrawler from Irondale and Team 5434 Falcon Robotics out of Faribault.
