Pequot Lakes police to offer summer safety awareness class

A community summer safety awareness class will take place from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the Pequot Lakes Police Department.

All ages are invited to attend, and the program will be especially beneficial for families with school-aged children.

Learn about walking, biking, fire, boating, water and campfire safety, along with bullying and stranger danger. The Pequot Lakes Police Department and the Department of Natural Resources will present the programs.

A drawing will take place for a mountain bike valued at $300 from Crow Wing Cycleworks in Crosslake.

Attendees can explore a fire truck and police squad car as well.
