With 89 teams competing from 22 different schools, five different Pequot Lakes Knowledge Bowl teams finished in the top 35 in cumulative season scores.

The team of Savannah Ellison, Sebastian Kempka, Sam Person and Russell Pierzinski finished with the top overall score for the year and was the top scoring team at two of three meets. They - along with the team of Logan Haberman, Megan Buffington, William Hallbeck, Cole Trottier and Tyler Peterson - qualified for the regional meet, where they finished fifth and just missed a trip to state. The second team finished 16th of the 21 teams participating.

The team of Bryce Fabian, Caleb Davis, Sydney Dorian and Isaak Geroy placed fourth out of 16 teams at the ninth-grade regional meet.

"(The team) had a fun and successful season," coach Jamie Wagner said in an email. "It is always fun as a coach to interact with students in this context as it provides a little bit of competition but in an entirely different venue than athletics. We get to see students excel in different areas of knowledge as well as how they communicate with one another. Overall it was a very successful year and we are excited about the growth of the program."
