The Pequot Lakes Fire Department is starting an Explorer program for five to six young adults ages 14-20. Participants must have completed eighth grade.
Interested applicants must live within 15 minutes of station 1 of the Pequot Lakes Fire Department (4638 County Road 11, Pequot Lakes) and have an interest in the fire service.
Participants in the program will be expected to:
• Attend fire meetings/trainings at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month.
• Go on emergency calls when available. Students cannot leave school to respond to an emergency call.

• Help with fire department events (open house, pancake breakfast, Safety Kids program, fire prevention, etc.)
