• A Time To Remember ... A Childhood Memories Writing Experience: Noon-3 p.m. Thursday, March 19, Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.

Join instructor Mary Jo McCarthy for an afternoon of reminiscing, writing and sharing. By the end of the afternoon participants will have written 10 to 15 short stories of their favorite childhood memories.

Bring a favorite writing pen; everything else will be provided.

Fee is $35, and a minimum of five students is required.

• Time Matters ... A Woman's Retirement Outlook: 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, Pequot Lakes High School.

Join instructor Seth Jackson of Edward Jones in this workshop that is specifically tailored for women who are getting ready for or have recently transitioned to retirement.

Participants will discuss retirement income strategies, including perspectives around Social Security and helping to make one's retirement savings last; and address how to help prepare for the unexpected, including market risks and the impact of rising costs.

Fee is $5, and a minimum of five students is required to hold class.

• Gardening Preparation ... What to do While Waiting for the Snow to Melt: 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, Pequot Lakes High School.

Join master gardener Coralee Fox from the Crow Wing County/University of Minnesota Extension office for this gardening session that will cover tasks that a gardener should be doing in preparation for actually digging in the soil.

Participants will talk about gardening tools, starting seeds indoors, soil, containers, over-wintered plants and acclimating new seedlings.

Fee is $10, and a minimum of five students is required.
