Cars were lined up at Pequot Lakes School on Monday morning, June 8, as families picked up breakfast and lunch meals for their students for the week.

Pequot Lakes Schools Food and Nutrition Services employees worked efficiently to bag juice and milk and deliver the beverages and meals they'd prepared and bagged earlier in the day to waiting vehicles.

Food Services Director Patty Buell said the current state waiver for the meals program continues through the fourth week of June. Therefore, meals are being offered for pick up only between 9-10 a.m. Mondays, June 15 and 22, at the district office main entrance. This option started Monday, June 1.

The meals are packaged so that each child receives one bag with five breakfasts and one bag with five lunches Monday mornings with milk or juice available as an option.

To sign up to pick up meals for children in your household who are age 18 and under, call Patty in the Food Services office at 218-568-9363 or email pbuell@isd186.org . When leaving a message, the only information needed is your name, the number of children age 18 and under in your household and a phone number.
