Pine River Heritage Days will be Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 7-10, celebrating the city's heritage with annual events.
Kicking off the weekend is the Thursday, Sept. 7, Tea at the Station, a Petticoat Junction Function, from 2-4 p.m. at the Pine River Depot. This is a fundraiser to help sustain the depot.
The weekly farmers market will provide fresh foods and crafts from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8.
From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, John Rohr's historic news reels from the Pine River community will be shown at the depot.
During the weekend celebration Friday-Sunday, a historical pre-1830s encampment with demonstrations will be staked out in Forbes Park. Hobo Stew will be brewing and served starting at noon Saturday, Sept. 9, at Forbes Park as well.

Pine River United Methodist Church will host its annual quilt show and lunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8 and 9. The event will feature creative demonstrations in quilting, dream catchers and other crafts. Author Charlotte Ellen will be present.
