Oven fire quickly doused at Ammarilla House in Pine River

Pine River fire crew ensured building safety after fire quickly extinguished.

The Pine River Fire Department made quick work of a small fire at the Ammarilla House on Snell Avenue in Pine River just before 2 p.m. Friday, March 26.

An employee called in the fire. The Pine River fire crew quickly arrived and extinguished it. There were no injuries and minimal damage.

"We were paged to a fire in the kitchen," Pine River Fire Chief Kraig King said. "It was contained to the oven. It was put out with a fire extinguisher."

The Pine River crew remained for approximately an hour before reviewing the scene for remaining hazards. A fire marshal is conducting an investigation as is standard procedure.

The Backus Fire Department provided mutual aid.
