U.S. congressman Rick Nolan will address income inequality at noon Thursday, March 12, in the Fireside Room at First Presbyterian Church at 512 S. Eighth St. in Brainerd.
Nolan is advocating for ways to improve the economy and restore the middle class. He has worked on several issues to improve the lot of the workers of America, including legislation for the "Make it in America" program and supporting the Fair Minimum Wage Act.
Nolan will speak to this issue and share any progress he sees in the House and Senate this term. He is interested in hearing feedback as well.
Coffee and social time will be at 11:30 a.m. The program is sponsored by the Brainerd Lakes League of Women Voters. All are welcome, and there is no charge to attend.
