The Nisswa Lions Club has released its schedule for World Famous Pork-on-a-Stick for 2015-16.
The Nisswa Lions Club started Pork-on-a-Stick in 1988. After several trials, Schaefer's Foods came up with the special cut of pork the club now serves.
The club's custom cooker was built on a trailer in the early '90s to help keep up with demand. In the late '90s, the club added a bright canopy to identify its location for the day.
Also in the late '90s, the club developed its own spice recipe that is sold separately. The pork is marinated in a special sauce.
This year the Nisswa Lions put all new gas grills in the trailer.

• Friday-Saturday, Aug. 14-15: Crazy Days in Nisswa.
