Megan Morgan, a Pequot Lakes High School senior, was crowned Miss Pequot Lakes on Friday, April 15, in the high school auditorium.
Quinn Kratochvil, a junior, won Miss Pequot Lakes Princess, and senior Lark Luchka was chosen Miss Congeniality at the 29th annual Miss Pequot Lakes Scholarship Pageant.

Other contestants were junior Kyra Blaukat and senior Allison Aydelotte. Both sang for the talent portion of the competition, as did Morgan. Kratochvil played the flute, and Luchka recited a speech she wrote along with a slideshow presentation.
Fourth-grade escorts from Eagle View Elementary School are Kelsi Martini, queen escort; Isabel Larson, Princess escort; and Kallie Carlson, Miss Congeniality escort.
Other fourth-grade candidate escorts in the pageant were Ana Wickham and Alaina Kinney.
Josie Florell was pageant ambassador, and fourth-grader Aubrey Larsen was ambassador escort. Kimberly Ziesemer, pageant coordinator, was mistress of ceremony at the pageant sponsored by Community Action of Pequot Lakes.
As Miss Pequot Lakes, Morgan will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Kratochvil will get $500 and Luchka, $100. The winners will receive their scholarship awards upon successful completion of their first semester of higher education.
Judging for the pageant consisted of four categories: personal interview by the three judges before the pageant; and casual conversation, where contestants answered a question they knew and an impromptu question, talent and evening gown presentations, all at the pageant.
Giving farewell speeches were Nicole Barta, Miss Pequot Lakes 2015; Kelsey Hart, Miss Pequot Lakes Princess 2015; Abrielle Mumm, Miss Pequot Lakes Princess and Miss Congeniality 2015; along with their escorts, Brea Eckes, Kodi Crawford and Gabrielle Ziesemer.
