Meet the new teachers at PR-B Schools: Joe Forte

Pine River-Backus welcomes Joe Forte as a new teacher this year.

  • Hometown: Detroit.
  • Past teaching experience/education: Mandan, North Dakota, High School paraprofessional in emotional and behavioral disorders; Wayzata High School paraprofessional in developmental cognitive disabilities; job coordinator/life skills teacher, applied math teacher DCD.
  • What grades do you teach? I will be teaching grades 9-12, mostly grades 11-12 students.
  • Interests/hobbies: Camping, time on the lake, painting, cooking.
  • What are you most looking forward to at Pine River-Backus? I am looking forward to the small town setting. Everyone has been so kind and inviting, I can truly feel the PR-B pride.
Travis Grimler began work at the Echo Journal Jan. 2 of 2013 while the publication was still split in two as the Pine River Journal and Lake Country Echo. He is a full time reporter/photographer/videographer for the paper and operates primarily out of the northern stretch of the coverage area (Hackensack to Jenkins).
