Past teaching experience/education: Graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in English education; taught for two years at Red Lake County Central in Oklee, Minnesota.
What grades do you teach? Grades 8, 9, 11 and 12 English.
Interests/hobbies: Reading, kayaking, hiking, traveling.
What are you most looking forward to at Pine River-Backus? Getting to build positive relationships with the staff, students and community members in the district.

Travis Grimler began work at the Echo Journal Jan. 2 of 2013 while the publication was still split in two as the Pine River Journal and Lake Country Echo. He is a full time reporter/photographer/videographer for the paper and operates primarily out of the northern stretch of the coverage area (Hackensack to Jenkins).
