Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association

• Keenan Dahl, Backus, was among students awarded scholarships by the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association. Dahl plans to major in welding at Alexandria Technical & Community College. He graduated from Pine River-Backus High School this year, where he excelled in sports, music and academics. He was an Academic All-State in golf, an Academic All-Section in wrestling, on the All-State Academic Team in golf, on the honor roll, and an MVP in football, golf and wrestling.

St. Mary's University, Winona

• Jacob Tschida, the son of Joseph and Tracy Tschida, Pine River, was named to the second semester dean's list at St. Mary's University in Winona.
