The following area students were named to the fall dean's list at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth: Amanda LaMere and Nancy Malecha, both of Pequot Lakes; Isabel Lawrence, Sarah Ostlund and Jonathan Schneider, all of Pine River; Wendy Lehman of Lake Shore; Cassandra Wiewel of Nisswa; and Karli Wiewel of Breezy Point.

Minnesota State University Moorhead

The following students were named to the Minnesota State University Moorhead fall semester dean's list: Mariah Gudahl of Pequot Lakes, a 2013 Pequot Lakes High School graduate who is majoring in accounting; Elizabeth Hayden of Breezy Point, a 2012 Watertown-Mayer High School graduate who is majoring in advertising and public relations; Brittany Kelley of Pine River, a 2013 Pine River-Backus High School graduate who is majoring in mass communications; Courtney Newland of Breezy Point, a 2012 Pequot Lakes High School graduate who is majoring in speech/language/haring science; Alexis Smith of Backus, a 2013 Pine River-Backus High School graduate who is majoring in elementary inclusive education; Molly Stockman of Pine River, a 2012 Pine River-Backus High School graduate who is majoring in elementary inclusive education; and Olivia Toft of Pequot Lakes, a 2014 Nevis High School graduate who is majoring in social work.

Rita Merschman of Backus received notable achievement honors on the fall honors list at Pine Technical and Community College in Pine City.

College of St. Scholastica-Duluth

The following area students graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth on Dec. 13: Katherine Nistler of Breezy Point, Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology; Alicia Lorensen of Pine River, Bachelor of Science degree in nursing; Lee Rudebusch of Nisswa, Master of Science degree in teaching.

University of Minnesota Crookston

Amanda Thompson of Pine River graduated during fall semester from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture and golf and turf management.

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire

Kurtis Moody of Pequot Lakes was named to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire fall semester dean's list. He is majoring in business.

Vermilion Community College
