Youth boating safety classes available in June

Gull Chain of Lakes Association is working with Cass and Crow Wing counties to provide classes.

LAKE SHORE — The Gull Chain of Lakes Association is working in collaboration with Cass and Crow Wing counties to offer three youth boating safety classes in June.

Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9; Friday, June 10; and Thursday, June 16, all at the Gull Lake Yacht Club.

Participants must be ages 12-17. They will receive a free life jacket from GCOLA, pizza from Zorbaz on Gull and a Minnesota Watercraft Operators permit.

Space is limited to 25 people per class. A spot in class may be reserved by calling Mary Kay Larson at 218-831-5656.
