PINE RIVER — Happy Dancing Turtle offers a family activity at the Dam Park in Pine River for the Halloween season.

The Walk on the Wild Side features pictures of and information about wild animals. Families are challenged to find all 10 deadly animals (pictures) hidden at the Dam Park.

Participants may pick up a guide at the Pine River Chamber to take with them to read about each animal as they go. Or they may look for a QR code at the start of the walk for the online guide.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "Pineandlakes Echo Journal." Often, the "Pineandlakes Echo Journal" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
