Six northern Brainerd lakes area students win first place in regional art competition

Three Pequot Lakes students and three Pine River-Backus students won first place at the 2022 Sourcewell Regional Art Show. Twenty other pieces of art by Pine River-Backus and Pequot Lakes students were given awards.

Three Pequot Lakes students and three Pine River-Backus students won first place at the 2022 Sourcewell Regional Art Show.

Students from Browerville, Little Falls and Staples-Motley also submitted their artwork in the competition. Local artists judged the pieces and named first through third place and honorable mentions in a variety of categories based on artistic medium and grade level.

Twenty other pieces of art by Pine River and Pequot students were given awards.
