PINE RIVER — After a COVID-19 and construction hiatus, the Pine River Duck Races are back for the first time at the new Norway Brook Dam in Pine River.

Setup begins at 1 p.m. with races to begin at 2 p.m. Fridays, June 17-Aug. 19.
Participants may rent a numbered duck decoy for $1 and that duck will be dumped in the river with competitor ducks. After a few heats there will be a heat for those who won races. The winner of that heat will be named Duke or Duchess of Duck before being given a scepter, crown, sash and prize.
