Loons swept in weekend action

BREEZY POINT — The Minnesota Loons of Breezy Point dropped a pair of weekend North American Tier III junior hockey games - falling at the Willmar WarHacks 4-3 Friday, Nov. 11, and losing to the visiting Alexandria Blizzard 4-2 Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Breezy Point Hockey Center.

On Friday, Willmar scored three straight goals in the second period to erase a 2-1 deficit. Jak Kritzeck, Sabastian Schueble and Garrett Burroughs scored for the Loons.

On Saturday, Alexandria built a 3-0 lead early in the second period and held off the Loons. Kritzeck and top scorer Blake Keller tallied for the Loons.

The Loons, 6-13 overall, are scheduled to host the Mason City Toros at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19.
