PINE RIVER — The 16th annual Lakes Bluegrass Festival, set for Aug. 25-28 just north of Pine River, seeks volunteers.
Volunteers serve four-hour time slots and receive one free day pass to the festival for each slot. Volunteers may sign up for more than one slot.
Volunteers may also receive a free festival staff T-shirt for their service.

Plans for two new parks, an ice hockey rink, a paved path for walking, running and biking within the Crosslake Community Center grounds, a possible expansion of the library and more will be shared

Motorists are advised to be patient, expect delays and extra law enforcement, consider staggering their travel times and watch for slow traffic on Highway 371 and other area roadways
A volunteer informational meeting and sign-up will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at the festival site - the Lakes Music and Events Park one mile north of Pine River on State Highway 371.
