PEQUOT LAKES – Pequot Lakes Community Education currently has two courses underway or beginning soon. Register online at under Community Education or call 218-568-9200.

  • Colorwork Knitting: 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursdays, Aug. 11 and 18. Cost: $15.

This class will teach the basics of six different color work techniques. For each technique, participants will create a practice swatch, which will then allow them to select their own pattern and make an item using that technique.

  • Swing Dance Basics: 6:30-7:15 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 23, Eagle View Elementary School. Cost: $75.

This energetic dance is widely used in all types of music. Participants can come with a partner, a friend or by themselves. No dance experience is necessary.
