Free yoga with a string quartet available in Brainerd Aug. 13

The event is part of the Lakes Area Music Festival.

BRAINERD — Classical music, meditation and fitness come together in one of the Lakes Area Music Festival’s most popular summer activities. An hour long, outdoor yoga class at Don Adamson Field at Brainerd High School, accompanied by a live, professional string quartet, will be Saturday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m.

The class will be led by Jennifer Smith, Nisswa Yoga, with demonstrations and adjustments by teachers from various local studios.

The event is free, and no previous yoga experience is necessary.

Donations to support the outreach programs of LAMF will be accepted.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "Pineandlakes Echo Journal." Often, the "Pineandlakes Echo Journal" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
