Deadline is Friday to participate in Miss Pine River Scholarship Pageant

PINE RIVER — Friday, Feb. 18, is the deadline for applicants interested in participating in the Miss Pine River Scholarship Pageant.

Contestants must be high school juniors or seniors who live in the Pine River-Backus School District, including homeschooled students. Miss Pine River and the court will represent the Pine River Chamber of Commerce at many area festivals, parades and pageants.

Scholarships have been increased from previous years thanks to community sponsors.
