PINE RIVER — The sesquicentennial planning committee for Pine River's 150th anniversary is seeking designs for an anniversary logo.
The committee would like a logo and slogan for the occasion to be featured in advertising, events and merchandise. The deadline for submissions was extended to Feb. 28.
Logos may be submitted to the Pine River Chamber of Commerce Information Center or online at pinerivercofc@yahoo.com. There will be blind judging.
Entrants must include their name and contact information in their submissions to receive credit.
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "Pineandlakes Echo Journal." Often, the "Pineandlakes Echo Journal" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
