Crosslake Historical Society to host season opener event June 7

There will be a showcase of volunteer opportunities along with training for those who would like to learn more about volunteering at the Historic Log Village throughout the summer. Volunteers are needed to assist with various activities and many roles can be filled by the community.

CROSSLAKE — The Crosslake Area Historical Society will sponsor a new season opener event from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Historic Log Village.

There will be a showcase of volunteer opportunities along with training for those who would like to learn more about volunteering at the Historic Log Village throughout the summer. Volunteers are needed to assist with various activities and the community can fill many roles.

The annual event at the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion is a Thanksgiving weekend tradition that was halted for two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The public is invited to the June 7 event. Maucieri’s food truck will be on site and Kale Jones, of Emily, will entertain with live music.

The Historic Log Village opens Memorial Day weekend and will be open on weekends through the summer.
