Classes on solar and dance offered in Pequot Lakes

PEQUOT LAKES — Pequot Lakes Community Education offers the following upcoming classes. Register online at under Community Education or call 218-568-9200.

  • Community Solar: 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, online via Zoom. Fee: $10

This class aims to teach participants how to save money while supporting clean energy with no upfront investments and no roof mounted solar panels. Crow Wing Power and Minnesota Power both participate in the Community Solar program.

The cost is $50 per plate for Providence Community Church event at the Gathering Event Center

  • Patriot Fall Dance (grades 7-12): 6-7:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, now through Oct. 6 (no class Sept. 1 and 5), Pequot Lakes High School cafeteria. Fee: $60.

This class for dancers with intermediate to advanced dancing skills also welcomes beginners. Participants will focus on developing strength, flexibility and technique. Participants will dance during halftime or pre-game of some high school football games. Additional fees may apply.
