PINE RIVER — The Cass County Economic Development Corp. accepted an allotment of $430,000 from the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development via the Initiative Foundation of Little Falls.
The grant dollars will be used to:
- Revitalize properties in the delineated "Main Street" district of Pine River.
- Create and retain permanent jobs.
- Enable existing businesses to strengthen and diversify their products and services.
The review team will use this application to determine which applicants will be awarded grant funds and to determine the level of funding awarded up to 30% of the total project cost.
These funds can be used for capital investments, such as:
- Repair or renovation of real property, including expansions and additions.
- Demolition, site preparation and building construction (either interior or exterior of the building)
- Landscaping and streetscaping,
- Engineering, predesign and design work.
