4-H youth showcase a year of learning at Cass County Fair in Pine River

The highest achieving individuals and exhibits will showcase at the Minnesota State Fair

PINE RIVER — Fifty-three individual youth and three clubs from Cass County’s 4-H program showcased their learning and achievements at the Cass County Fair in Pine River on June 21-26.

Youth spend months working on projects designed to equip them with essential life skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, project management, communications and public speaking. They then share their accomplishments and educate the public about their subject at their local county fair.

Those who demonstrate the highest achievements are selected to participate in 4-H at the Minnesota State Fair.

“We are so proud of the work our local youth put into their projects once again this year, and the personal growth observed in each of your 4-H’ers from last year was incredible,” Brook Remer, local extension educator, said in a news release. “Seeing our 4-H’ers showcase this year, it is clear that, when our youth set their sights on a project area they are passionate about, there is no end to their potential.”

The following exhibitors and their projects earned the top honors of grand or reserve champions at the Cass County Fair in Pine River:
