The Jenkins City Council decided Monday, April 11, to hold a second monthly meeting at 9 a.m. every fourth Wednesday at Jenkins City Hall.
The council decided to have a second meeting to enable the council to make decisions in a more timely manner, especially during Highway 371 work, which might require important decisions be made more frequently than once a month.
In other business April 11, the council also:
• Approved a contract with the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corporation.
• Approved a new liquor license for Tobacco Gallery LLC.
