Drugs, stolen property and an improvised explosive device were among the items found when law enforcement authorities from multiple agencies executed a search warrant Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Mission Township.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported Sept. 9 that the sheriff’s office investigations unit and the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division executed a search warrant with assistance from the Crow Wing County Bomb Squad, the Crosslake Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension at a residence on the 13000 block of North Horseshoe Lake Road in Mission Township.

During the search, an improvised explosive device was located inside the residence. In the criminal complaint, the device was described as a cylindrical object wrapped in duct tape with an exposed fuse believed to be a pipe bomb. The Crow Wing County Bomb Team responded, rendered the device safe and disposed of it.
