Jenny Holmes was recently named the executive director of the Gull Lake Yacht Club on Gull Lake.
Holmes has worked with a variety of nonprofits and brings communications and public relations skills to the position.
Holmes said she hopes to raise awareness of the club and let lakes area residents know that, although it is only accessible by membership, anyone can become a member.
She also intends to host several family-friendly events throughout the summer. Jr's No. 19 BBQ of Pine River will provide Thursday and Friday night dinners, as well as Sunday brunch, all open to members and guests of members.
The Gull Lake Yacht Club was founded in 1947, and in 2009, built a new facility equipped with food and bar service capabilities. The Gull Lake Sailing School is located in the lower level of the club and offers sailing school opportunities for all ages throughout the summer.

The Gull Lake Yacht Club and Sailing School is located off Green Gables Road on Love Lake Road, on the eastern side of Gull Lake.
