Highway 371 collision injures 2

A Honda Crosstour was traveling north on Highway 371, when it attempted to make a left turn at Gull Lake Dam.

Two people were injured at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, after a car attempting to cross Highway 371 was struck by an oncoming truck north of Baxter.

A Honda Crosstour was traveling north on Highway 371, when the driver attempted to make a left turn at Gull Lake Dam. The Minnesota State Patrol reported the Honda crossed southbound traffic when it was struck by the Toyota Tundra that was traveling south on Highway 371.

Warren C. Schneeberger, 82, the driver of the Honda, and Lisa M. Giesen, 58, a passenger in the Toyota, suffered non-life-threatening-injuries and were transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.

The driver of the truck, Mark A. Giesen, 58, was not injured. The crash report did not verify where the three people were from.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.
