A carved American eagle, in flight and clutching a captured fish in its talons, appears to swoop toward a slender stretch of open water Friday, April 1, along Gull Lake's east shoreline. The artistic rendering was erected last month at Cinosam Club's residential park. Mounted atop a massive, carved trunk, it commands a sweeping view of the lake, lately still locked in ice.
