Grandpa's Run for the Walleye is Saturday in Crosslake

The Whitefish Area Property Association's 20th annual Grandpa's Run for the Walleye will take place Saturday, July 1, at the Crosslake Community Center.

The Whitefish Area Property Association's 20th annual Grandpa's Run for the Walleye will take place Saturday, July 1, at the Crosslake Community Center.

The 10K will start at 8:15 a.m., and the 5K at 8:30 a.m. The Kids' Sunfish Dash will be at 9:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is available, and registration also will be at 7 a.m. on race day. Cost is $35 for the 10K or 5K, and $7 for the kids' run. No debit or credit cards will be accepted on race day.

All proceeds go to improving walleye habitat and water quality.

Both the 5K and 10K races will have chip timing, and both courses are certified by the USA Track & Field Association.
