The Nisswa City Council will decide at its August meeting whether to change its council meeting night.

The council currently meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month. Council members discussed possibly changing that to the third Tuesday of the month instead, but must check the schedules of its city attorney and city engineer.

The discussion stems from Alan Jenkins’ request for the council to change its meeting night because Wednesdays are considered a night to attend church activities. Jenkins continues to collect signatures from people on a petition to change the meeting night.
