President Donald Trump invited Minnesota Senator Carrie Ruud, R-Breezy Point, and Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, R-East Gull Lake, to attend a discussion at the White House on Thursday, July 16, about the president’s historic regulatory reform.

“I was honored to join President Trump at the White House as he updated Americans on his progress toward deregulating government,” Ruud said. “Every level of government and every American will benefit from this reform. We thrive on the ability to freely innovate and less regulation will help us recover from the last few months and rebuild stronger than before.”

Last October, the president announced the Governors’ Initiative on Regulatory Innovation to extend the President’s regulatory reform to every level of government, with the intent of cutting regulations and costs, advancing occupational licensing reform, and better aligning local, state and federal regulations.
