State Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin and representing District 10B, received a unanimous vote of confidence during the joint Crow Wing and Aitkin County Republican Party endorsement convention for his re-election to the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Area Republican Party delegates met using the Zoom teleconferencing system to conduct the joint county endorsing convention earlier this month. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, delegates have rapidly adapted to conducting business via teleconventions to ensure they are fully prepared for the 2020 election season.

Lueck is in his third term representing Minnesota House District 10B. The district includes all of Aitkin County and much of Crow Wing County, including the cities of Crosslake, Manhattan Beach, Fifty Lakes and Emily, along with and Timothy, Fairfield, Little Pine, Ross Lake, Perry Lake and Wolford townships in Crow Wing County.

Lueck serves as the Republican lead on the House Environmental and Natural Resources Policy Committee and is a senior member of the Agriculture Policy and Finance and the Environmental and Natural Resources Finance Committee. He also serves as vice chair of the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board.

Despite it being the campaign season, Lueck's first priority will remain working full time to get local businesses open and children back in school this fall.

Lueck and his wife, Linda, have been married for 50 years. They have two grown children, five grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He graduated from Aitkin Public High School in 1967.

While serving in the U.S. Navy he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in occupation health and safety and a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration. After 28 years of active duty service, Lueck retired from the U.S. Navy in 1997.

The Luecks currently raise beef cattle on their 340-acre farm in Aitkin County.
