Rep. Sandy Layman, R-Cohasset, recently met with area superintendents Dave Endicott (Pine River-Backus Schools) and John McDonald (Northland Community Schools in Remer), in St. Paul to discuss school safety issues and special education funding.

"Thank you to both Dave and John for making the trip to St. Paul to discuss important education topics," Layman said in a news release. "Hearing their views on issues like school safety and the funding of special education help me better understand the needs of schools in our area."
