Pestello's off 371 and Rusty's Up North Realty in Backus are organizing a boat parade for noon July 4 on Pine Mountain Lake in Backus.
Registrants are asked to decorate their boat in a patriotic theme. Judges will determine the best among the boat floats. Participants will compete for a half-day guided fishing trip as a grand prize or cash for second or third place.
Registration will be from 8:30-11 a.m. at Rusty's Up North Realty in Backus. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m. at Pestello's Off 371.
