Pine River Duck Races canceled this week

The Pine River Duck Races have been cancelled this week because of continuing high water at the Pine River dam.

Look for them to begin next week during Summerfest on Friday, June 27, with registration at 1:30 p.m. and the first race beginning at 2 p.m.

Also, there will be a public gathering from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Pine River Depot this evening, Wednesday, June 18, to show and discuss plans for the renovation of the actual Pine River Dam in Pine River.

The public is invited to stop by to furnish input and gain a perspective on the project, which is slated to happen in the future.
