Homecoming week kicks off at Pequot Lakes beginning on Monday, Oct. 4
Festivities begin with the Coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen in the high school auditorium at 6 p.m. on Monday evening. Nic Kotaska, Wade Loeffler, Hunter Johnson, Eli Jorgens and Sam Rysavy are the seniors vying for homecoming king. Meanwhile, Ciera Wheeler, Julia Keiffer, Sonja Palmer, Maya Orvis or Brionna Mykkanen will be crowned queen.
Coronation will be followed by the powderbuff volleyball game at 7 p.m. in the Patriot Athletic Center. After that, the senior girls will take to the football field for the powderpuff football game at 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6, students will get to enjoy bingo throughout the school day.
The Patriot football team will take on Pillager for its annual homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 8, but kickoff is at 6 p.m. instead of the usual 7 p.m. Tailgating on the patio will begin at 3:30 p.m. in preparation for the game.
The annual Homecoming Dance will take place after the game, and will run until 11 p.m.
