Homecoming in February?

Only during the 2020-2021 school year would you see homecoming celebrated in February, but that is exactly what the Pine River-Backus Schools will be celebrating on Friday, Feb. 12.

The homecoming celebration has been a long time coming. The PR-B High School’s student government and their adviser, Aimee Wilson, have persevered making plans and changing plans for this celebration several times this year as a result of COVID-19.

Fortunately their perseverance has paid off. Pine River-Backus Schools is proud to be welcoming ninth through 12th grade students back to in-person learning Tuesday, Feb. 16. This week, Feb. 8-12, the students who are already in person learning are celebrating with dress up week capped off with the homecoming coronation Friday, Feb. 12.

The celebration Feb. 12 is truly a homecoming for many students. Join in this celebration by continuing your support of these students by taking the precautions of social distancing and mask wearing.
